He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and is a 1969 graduate of Little Rock Central High School.He played Oakland Athletics coach Ron Washington (former manager of Texas Rangers) in 2011 film Moneyball.Jennings appeared Off-Broadway in November 2014, in the world premiere of Our Lady of Kibeho, the second play of Katori Hall's residency at The Pershing Square Signature Theatre, directed by Michael Greif.
