Bob Beattie was born on January 24, 1931 in Manchester, New Hampshire, USA as Robert Beattie. He is an actor, known for Over the Top (1987), ABC's Wide World of Sports (1961) and Combat! (1962). He was previously married to Cheryl Britton.
Was ABC Sports' expert commentator for Alpine Skiing events, including the World Cup and the Winter Olympics. He was very well-known for his call of the Gold Medal-winning run of Franz Klammer in the Downhill at the 1976 Winter Olympics in Insbruck, Austria.
