Augustus Phillips (August 1, 1874 – September 29, 1944), was an American actor. He appeared in 134 films between 1910 and 1921. Perhaps most notable is his appearance in J. Searle Dawley's 1910 production of Frankenstein, playing Victor Frankenstein, as a young medical student. Since its original release, this 16 minute film had been listed as missing; no copies of the film existed. An original nitrate print finally turned up in Wisconsin in the mid-1970s.[1]He was born in Rensselaer, Indiana, USA and died in London, England.
