Anthony Bushell was born on May 19, 1904 in Westerham, Kent, England as Anthony Arnatt Bushell. He was an actor and producer, known for A Night to Remember (1958), Pursuit of the Graf Spee (1956) and The Scarlet Pimpernel (1934). He was married to Zelma O'Neal and Anne. He died on April 2, 1997 in Oxford, England.
British leading actor, later associate producer, on stage from 1924. An Oxford University and RADA graduate, he spent most of his early career in the U.S., starring on Broadway in "Her Cardboard Lover", opposite Jeanne Eagels. In Hollywood from 1929, he had key roles in Journey's End (1930), Five Star Final (1931) and Vanity Fair (1932), before returning to England. A cultured performer with a penchant for playing military men, he had several more noteworthy roles, including that of King Arthur in The Black Knight (1954), and as captain of the Carpathia in an early version of the Titanic disaster, A Night to Remember (1958). He directed a number of television episodes until his retirement in 1964, settling down as director of the Monte Carlo Golf Club.

His Will was signed on 27th January, 1995 and was Probated at The Principal Registry on 22nd May, 1997. It was £21,072 Gross. There is no suggestion of family in the Will so he may not have had issue.

Joined the army during WWII. In 1939 he was commissioned in the Welsh Guards as a tank squadron commander and was demobbed as a Major.
