Brian Delate (born April 8, 1949) is an American actor.He was born in Trenton, New Jersey to Joseph and Patricia Delate, but would be primarily raised in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.Delate served in the Vietnam War before entering a career in acting.Brian is best known worldwide for portraying Walter Moore/Kirk Burbank in the 1998 Paramount film The Truman Show.He resides with his family in Tannersville, Pennsylvania and New York City.
He is assembling footage for a documentary that shows the remarkable journey to Hanoi last September, where he presented his play Memorial Day as an actor/writer to the former enemy, where Brian served as a combat soldier in 1969-70. He also shares the stage in Hanoi with the premiere Vietnamese actress Ms. Le Khahn. [2014]

His daughter Tirsa, is a junior at Bryn Mawr College and will attending Slade at Univ. College of London this fall.
